nothing beats being taken by surprise. with movies like "Hobo with a Shotgun" you KNOW they are going for campy and ridiculous. Its still fun, but you know what you are getting into when you sit down to watch it.

the first Crank was the perfect setup for this sequel. not any good, not really taking itself seriously, but not ridiculous enough to work as a good b-movie/comedy. which was perfect, because I sat down to Crank 2 not expecting anything special, at all. and definitely not expecting total insanity and one of the most ridiculously awesome movies I've ever seen.

I agree. I went in, not having seen Crank, expecting a routine Statham actionfest, and came out having laughed myself silly. Bless Statham for playing it absolutely straight in the middle of such complete lunacy.

I cannot believe the number of people who don't seem to realise that this was primarily a comedy. Whole-Body Tourrette's! Har!

Same thing. Friend suggested we watch it and I really wasn't in the mood for another Jason Statham film.

In the end, it was great as it was just mass hysteria. Loved the kaiju style fight at the electric plant.

I agree. I just saw the first one so I thought I knew what to expect, but then there was just a section in the middle were it kept getting more and more bizarre in the best way possible. It was fun to watch.

I get it that it is a comedy but it's just too ridiculous. 2/10
