Why is he invincible?


He is able to kill many armed men facing him at the same time, getting no injury from them. He knows he can easily kill them all. Why?
Usually some explanation is given, like he was born super strong, he has a magic potion, he trained with a master, he is protected by the gods etc.

Here instead we get NO REASON.
Did I miss something?

I think it's visions. He said it's not his time to die, he will die fighting. As did his father. They were both right.

That's a good answer. Although the movie does not elaborate it much.
But it would be a decent narrative device.
