Totally agree. Plot is way too muddled and way too hard to keep track of who is adult/teen who and it doesn't help that the show-runners try much to hard to keep too much "hidden" so there can be a big reveal at some point. The audience needs to understand, pretty early on, how things connect if you're really going to engage them. We watched about half the first season then gave up on it. Kind of "Lost" meets "Alive!" Meh. This seems to be an ongoing theme in movies/shows lately e.g. this and EEAAO. The writers just throw a bunch of stuff at the screen thinking "gee, aren't we clever/edgy" when in reality it's just a muddled mess.
