Great show that weirdly makes me want to check out soccer

Never had any interest in watching the game, but after binging a season of this, I kinda want to give it a legitimate shot and see what the hooligans go nuts for.

Soccer is the correct term

That is the correct term, it is soccer. Most of the world know it. For example, that awesome comedy movie Shaolin Soccer. Or... Soccer Aid. I so appreciate your optimism. ☺👏👍

I'm guessing the country that invented the sport is wrong.

Association Football is the correct term to distingish between Rugby Football and Football.

But yeh America are obviously right and the rest of the known world who actually plays the sport is wrong.

Exact same feelings here. Could care less about soccer and after watching both seasons I’m willing to give it a go. Kind of want to go to a live match now.

Coming from a football crazy country (Serbia), I have one advice - watch only the highest and the lowest ranking leagues. Those are the most interesting.

Not sure if this will help your curiosity, but there's an excellent documentary Sunderland 'till I Die. I'm a die hard fan that's been playing since second grade, so it's in my own wheelhouse. But it's a great look at a struggling club, not unlike the Greyhounds.
