Another shot at live action?

I defi itely believe it deserves another shot. The dragon ball stories are so rich with content, seeing it with a bigger budget, a proper story and some great actors this could be huge. Starting with the Saiyan Saga to freiza, cell, Majin Bu theres so much to explore. I hope that one day it becomes a reality instead of this dribble that was put out.

It could work but would need major capital, a down to a t cast and competent writers and directors.

The most important things,

Great completed script, talented group of people who can make *beep* happen, and a love and passion for the source material, are necessary for a DBZ live action trilogy.

This material needs the LOTR movies &Harry potter movies treatment!

P.S. ( This needs passion and and love as the driving force not just to make a quick buck! )

It's people like this that are the reason we get stuck with movies like DBE. Why can't people just enjoy what they have, fantastic animations! Good gracious, how many DB and DBZ and DBGT episodes are there? Why is that not good enough?

1. BVS 2. TWS 3. Avengers

I do think it's possible to make a good DB/DBZ/DBGT movie. One poster said it's not like Marvel or DC because they need to follow the anime storyline. That may be, but still think it makes a lot of sense to approach it as a superhero adaptation. Especially DBZ really feels like a superhero story, with the scale, stakes and powers involved. They could still adapt the existing anime story, but should try to emulate the look and feel of Marvel's films, for instance. The Matrix trilogy, especially the finale of The Matrix Revolutions, is a good point of reference as well. Hell, it's pretty obvious the Wachowskis had DB(Z) in mind when creating the big Neo vs Smith battle. And Guardians of the Galaxy shows that anthropomorphic animals work just fine in a live action setting. I really don't see why it should be so hard to make DB work in live action, as long as they condense some of the story.

One possible hurdle is that DBZ seems to be more popular and well known than DB itself, but we need the story of DB to have DBZ's story make any sense (especially with regard to Piccolo's backstory and, if they get that far, Gero's androids and Cell).
