Why is everyone excited about a VIDEO GAME MOVIE?

No. Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, PT Anderson, Danny Boyle, Christopher Nolan, Tarantino, and Arronofsky, wouldn't think of touching it.

I'm not excited, even though I love the game enough to rate it a 10, even though I like everyone currently attached. A movie is totally unnecessary. At worst it'll be disappointing, at best it still isn't going to be as good as playing the game anyway. It's just a grab for money; let people who can't enjoy a good game pay for it. Sitting to passively watch something I could actively have fun with just isn't that appealing.
