Ms. Marvel will be Marvel's first live-action Christian hero.

JK, that would never happen.

In reality, Ms. Marvel will be Marvel's first live-action Muslim hero.

It's not like we have already had Steve Rogers/Captain America, referenced by the quote "There's only one God, ma'am. And I'm pretty sure He doesn't dress like that" and Matt Murdock/Daredevil who actually attends confession and prays in the series.

Yeah, live-action Christian hero definitely wouldn't happen 🙄

Steve was very clearly Christian (protestant, certainly - Episcopalian?), yeah. He seemed to actually believe it, too (as you point out by his dialogue). Others might consider themselves culturally Christian (Hawkeye, maybe? I could see Peter Parker going to Church with Aunt May), even if it's not as prominent in their minds as in Cap's.

Going outside of the MCU, there are other Marvel characters on-screen who have displayed Christian belief. Nightcrawler is the one I'm thinking of here, although technically Eddie Brock was praying in Spider-man 3...

Luke Cage was also shown to be the son of a Baptist minister who referenced god a few times.

Change your name to ManToIgnore.

What religion would the God of Thunder belong to? Does he worship himself? Because he sure doesn't worship his father, King of the Gods of Asgard!

Seriously, I can see Clint and Sam maybe coming from Christian homes and maybe going to church on holidays, or when their relatives expect it. Kate Bishop might be nominally Jewish, there was a menorah or something in her aunt's apartment, but I can't see her putting any value on religion, any more than she puts value on boyfriends.
