Book ending or film ending?

Which did you prefer and why?

Actually, Anna wasn't being selfish. In both the book and the movie, Kate told Anna that she was ready to die. So, Anna suing her parents was a way for Kate to tell her to fight for herself and her body. It's been a while since I've read the book, but I do remember Anna saying in the book that Kate wanted to die.

And, for endings, I'm a book lover, but I would have to say that the movie ending makes the most sense in terms of people with loved ones with cancer relating to this movie. The book ending, although fitting the tone of the book overall, feels like I've been cheated. Reminds me too much of Mockingjay, now that I think about it.

For me it's a little of both, I prefer the book because while unrealistic it was different then the cliche of a cancer patient who dies at the end, but I liked the movie ending because it gives Anna a better deal, Anna got the short end of the stick throughout the whole book.

Book. Because the movie didn't touch THE core controversial of issue of the story...EUGENICS, HUMAN GENETIC ENGINEERING, AND EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURES NOT JUST CANCER! And the fact that Anna, Jesse and Kate's story gets water down in this movie because of that, IRKS me to no end!!!

Film ending. Book ending was deus ex machina.
I read the book first and was dissapointed with the ending.
