Excuse me Matrix fans, but chase scene in Paris better than in Matrix 2

It had all the humor and thrills lacking in dull highway chase in Matrix 2. And you cared about the characters more too!

I am not even a Matrix fan and I liked them over this rubbish any day of the week. Some people just like garbage and that's a fact, hence the reason that you'll always find some dope on the worst film ever who claims it to be good. Always.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

Most of you internet Aholes are the worst! lol

reply

OMG how could you like say that?!?!?!?!!!!!111one1

Ahh both movies were such utter crap, who cares. GI Joe is admittedly a worse movie overall, I think I wanted all the characters to die more in that one. The only thing I remember from your favorite scene is hoping the Eiffle Tower crushed them all. Snake Eyes looks like an extra from an S&M movie. Dennis Quaid tries desperately to deliver those awful lines, and he pulls some of them off. But the rest of the actors aren't good enough to get by with bad writing. Why am I even answering this? Movie sucked big time. *beep* you Sommers for raping my childhood. hack director. I don't care if you are efficient an come in under budget, your movies suck.

You Kidding? The CGI was so bad I thought I was watching a saturday morning cartoon. Not a Matrix fan either.

Besides, nothing beats a real shot-in-camera car/cycle chase.

reply

The chase scenes in Ronin blow both of these movies out of the water.

or Temniator 2, the cgi in GI Joe was bad

reply

I agree. The chase scene in Ronin has never been bettered.

reply

I bow to your astute eye for REAL car chase scenes. I couldn't agree with you more. In fact Ronin as a movie overall has to be up there with some of the best films ever made.

If you're talking about GI Joe, I agree. It was awful. Everytime I saw this playing on a blueray in any electronics store I'd cringe. It was just horrible. If you're talking about the Matrix, I don't remember it well enough but I didn't think it was bad.

Ohhh, a lesson in not changing history from "I'm my own grandpa".

reply

I was talking about GI Joe. I don't remember too much of matrix either. The first one had a pretty cool concept, but the sequels left me flat(and confused).

A better, more coherant and less silly version of Matrix would be Dark City.

There is no such thing as Matrix 2. If you believe there is you didn't repeat that sentence often enough to yourself.

reply

Yup, the Paris chase scene is very good. That's because Stephen Sommers is a very good action director.

Haha. This is so true. I also feel the same way about Robocop 3(Robotcop 2 was ok when I was a kid, but only then, haha).

Sitting in a dark room staring at the corner of a wall for two hours is better than anything in the Matrix 2.

The action itself was spectacular, but the scene had no sense of place or geography.

You can easily tell it was a fake Paris.

IMHO in order for outlandish, impossible action to work, you must first establish a coherent (not necessarily realistic) framework.

In this scene the geography and the streets kept changing to suit the action better.

As a result it looked like a fake, staged stunt show.

reply

I agree. It totally didn't feel like Paris at all. Any of it. Even the 'Eiffel Tower'

reply

I liked the highway chase in The Matrix Reloaded. I didn't like the fight with all the Smiths. That was lame.
