Anthony Hopkins should get his 2nd oscar for this

I can't see anyone deserving it more than him this year. It was a classic acting performance of the highest order.

Remains of the Day was worthy of a second win, although he faced competition from Hanks in "Philadelphia." Remains of the Day might've been his best performance. The issue is that he had won for Silence of the Lambs a few years prior, so there was some feeling of staleness towards Hopkins.

Other than "Remains of the Day," I don't know if Hopkins ever gave another performance worthy, following "Silence of the Lambs."

To be frank - Hopkins didn't even deserve an Oscar nomination for "Nixon."
