Started watching a bit of his clips and didn't realize he was pretty funny and still stands up in this day and age.
Later I learned he turned into a pedo, loves impregnating women then abandoning them but not before treating them like trash, supported communism, was somewhat anti-American, and had his body stolen by communists. What a tragic turn of events that went way downhill for such a brilliant comedic mind.
He was also a genius whatever his shortcomings.

I think I slightly preferred Charlie: The Life and Art of Charles Chaplin (2003) as an introduction to him, though this one had new information on his early life and final years, which for most people will be the least interesting sections, however.
