What 'Oliva' did in the boat with 'Hilbert'?

Any of you would know what she did in the boat offshore her country? She sad that the party on the boat had illegal things in any country... but, what is it?

reply

The only thing I can think of illegal in every country in the world is ritual murder.

reply

In USA for instance there are still ritual murders, called capital punishment and they are NOT illegal. So your theory fails.

reply

you're an idiot.

Ritual murder makes sense to me...

She says that she "had" to go back, so it could be drugs. But it really doesn't matter (some drugs are legal in some countries). Let's just use our imagination. Still, it is another very weak point, as happens with many all through the film! Poor acting too...

reply

She said things that would be illegal in ANY country.

So I'd say murder, torture, that sort of thing. As for why she went back, perhaps Oliva decided she had a taste for those activities. Or she was blackmailed into going back.

However, I think she was lying about that whole thing.

Because a few scenes later on, Hilbert says that the way he met Oliva was because he emailed the boyfriend about the conjecture and Oliva answered. I think Oliva was just ashamed to admit that was how they met so she made up a story so shocking that her boyfriend would refuse to ask for details, just in order to get him to drop it.

reply

Furthering the thought above, Hilbert also said that he was totally immersed day and night with solving the conjecture. If that's the case, I seriously doubt that he would be playing games of chess with someone on-line let alone going on any boat trips.

reply

I still don't see why she'd make something like that up, though. And on the spot!

reply

yep. she lied. she lied to get back at her ex. hilbert acknowledged they met through email, not an online chess game.

reply

After she said what she said, I couldnt stop thinking about what she did on that freaking freaky boat...
god i'm a horny loser...lol...yeah.

I'm guessing what ever occured on the boat was a Super combination of:
Orgy, of course, involving man and beast, sado stuff, devil worship, ritual sacrifice, some drugs, monkey knife fights, illegal file sharing and whatever else was mentioned in this thread. And Chess.

reply

lol, your comment made me laugh out loud at work. They all think I'm crazy now.

reply

Given that they were mathematicians, they were probably moving the rook diagonally.

reply

she said she enjoyed it so much she went back 4 times. what could she enjoy so much that would shame her to tears upon thinking back? orgies, 3somes, etc are not illegal strictly speaking, but it's possible group sex is involved. now the illegal element could perhaps come from the fact that they did illegal substances while having those orgies, or they have invited under-aged people on those cruises with them.

in short, she had sex with multiple 15 year old boys and girls and she enjoyed it so much she went back 4 times.

reply

I thought of something like that nasty scene in "Requiem for a dream"... don't know why.

reply

Remind me please, what it was? It's been a while since I saw the movie.

reply

yeah I was thinking that too. But the theory that she lied to get back at her ex is fairly viable. Although the guy must be sick in the head to kill 3 other people in a ever-shrinking room, I think his parties would be equally as disturbed.

reply

Cannibalism. Definitely cannibalism.

reply

It was quite obviously Strip-Chess! Those naughty, naughty mathematicians. :p
