So is there any chance they still have that same human strength like Ant-man when small or are they simply doomed to be eaten by that owl?

From "Ant-Man and the Wasp," though, seems like shrunken cars trap the occupants inside until the cars grow back to normal.
But the vehicle itself seems to protect the occupants, at least until they run out of shrunken air (which I assume is why the Ant-Man and Wasp suits need helmets)
I'd totally forgotten about the air thing. It probably depends how much you are shrinking though. Clearly when Scott got shrunk to the size of a toddler he didn't need a helmet to breathe.
