Chess moves

I wish they showed the actual games more.

Agadmator's covered a few of them.

Tbh I thought they actually showed a bit more than I was expecting. It did go a bit beyond showing the simple checkmate finishes, e.g. covering the openings via the commentators.

It's brilliant to watch Agadmator's videos and see that they were all constructed from past real life famous matches - even the position shown very briefly in one of the blitz games!

they brought in a chess coach and a past champion to advise the actors on how to move the pieces. and used actual games from past tournaments. but yeah, they didn't dwell on them long enough to really pay attention to them.

Split infinitive red flag.

the book is annoying as hell because it uses (the now obsolete) descriptive notation aka
"1. P-K4 P-QB4"

instead of algebraic
"1. e4 c5 "

i tried to play through the actual games but gave up..
