point 4 was meant as a joke. point 2 makes a lot of sense - coming from a good family means "money" or "financially stable", which means he will go to a good school and have a stable career and most likely a good chance at a successful career, which he did. women tend to go for those kind of men especially back in those days when most women became housewives or just were expected to marry and usually marry rich. i don't know what paradoxon means - is that german for paradox? if so how is point 5 a paradox? you don't think a shy person can be confident? you can have a shy nature, but be very confident about certain things. i know i'm the exact same way - i'm very confident, aggressive and good at my job, but when it comes to dating/relationships especially in the beginnings i'm extremely shy, nervous and over-cautious.

yep that's right ,but he's still a big nerd , he had been single for 5 yrs before we met , he was always the buddy of women ,never the love interest . Notice how in that classroom scene his friend acts like its the first time he's seen a girl close up, while the main character can't wait for the end of class so he can go over to the older woman's place for some good ol' pussy.
