He didn't stand up for her at the trial, left her waiting in the visitor room, never went back, didn't answer her letters, what a punk. Hated him.

He was shy since young and the way the affair ended scarred him. Final scene of the film shows he's finally trying to move on.

I totally agree with you. She didn't deserve any consideration from Michael or anyone else.

I hate that people think Michael should have helped her out. She did not deserve it!!

I thought so too, but she may not have deserved his help. She seduced the kid, which in my opinion was not right. He shouldve just been a kid with his peers. She disappeared without notice breaking his heart. She did let people burn alive although she was not alone in the decision.

She didn't really seduce him per se. HE stalked her. Yes, she escalated things once he FOLLOWED HER HOME, but he was actively pursuing her. Not the other way around.
