It is what it is, with its really poor opening it was going to struggle to surpass any of the DC films. At this point its merely a question of whether it really will break 650 mil or not.

BvS was at 680 Million after 10days....BvS finished at 870 Million...Meaning for the rest of its run BvS only made another 190 million....
JL is already making less than BvS on a daily and weekly basis....Meaning its impossible for JL to even make another 190 Million for the rest of its run....
JL Will finish between 620 to 650 Million....Period!
It is impossible for JL to out gross MOS....

shareFlashpoint - though an easy FIX IT ALL to the awfulness the audiences have been presented thus far - would be kind of a mindfuck for that end. The casual movie goer would need to see a good Flash movie with a good background story and an actual investment on their behalf to acknowledge the fact that he can run faster than light. Up to that point the audience would need to actually see him grow to that point, which hasn't happened yet.
A parallel is that odd scene in BvS with the Flash popping out of nowhere and people scratching their heads with the common "wtf is that guy? Why is he there? Why should I even care"?
It could work but you need to spend time with the character first and actually make the audience care for him and his objectives.
Flashpoint could be an excellent oportunity for Flash's character development. I mean it's about the consequences of Barry Allen trying to save his Mother. We can see alot of things about him and how much responsibility it takes to have his Powers (no Spider-Man pun intended).

shareFlashpoint is more about The Flash, the other characters are just cameos. The average movie goer gets advertised that it is about him and they could get interested.
shareMy self - as a casual movie goer - would get confused with the message of "implication" to the other characters if I were not aware of JL and/or BvS. And given the stats for JL, it seems a lot of people didn't go see it.
shareThe thing is we will get an Aquaman film and probably Wonder Woman 2 before Flashpoint so those two characters are better known to the audiences, unless Aquaman Flops in the Box-Office. Than we have Superman and Batman (don't know how DC will handle him) with the only one who doesn't have character development being Cyborg..People can get used to them until FP arrives. But as I said the film will be more about Flash.
shareWhile Flashpoint could make an interesting 3rd or 4th Flash movie....as a first one, shunting the character into an alternate reality where the world is on the brink of destruction and he doesn't even have his powers for 90% of the movie all because he misses his mommy (Martha Allen? It would be in keeping with this universe) is a mis-step of COLOSSAL proportions, IMO. Great way to introduce a hero in a solo venture...have him almost destroy reality for personal reason.
Sadly, typical for WB.
He is young and inexperienced in this universe... it makes sense that he screws things up with his powers.
