The last 2 minutes f. up the whole story

I thought I'm gonna watch a new version of Saw. But it wasn't like that at all, and I loved it. The point of the puzzle was still good, but nothing breathtaking...anyway, I found it OK. The characters were simple, but still OK. But for sake...why do they had to kill the whole movie with such a weak, meaningless ending??? Seriously, come on. The director was such an idiot or the producer(s), or the scriptwriter?

Congratulations, anybody's fault he or she was such a lame...another good idea f. up by a stupido, who doesn't have a min. ability to feel whats good on screen and at the story and whats not. Great...us filmmaking did it again:(

What doesn't kill, gives strenght.

I really enjoyed the movie and probably would have given it a much better rating than I did if it did not end so stupidly. It was well thought out, decently acted for a horror film and somewhat intriguing. But it all got thrown away with the ending.

I don't know why directors think nowadays they have to do nonconventional endings because they are now the cliche. It's a shame because until the end I was riveted.

I have to say that the movie did at least attempt to do what few horror movies do which is actually have the characters talk to one another. My usual complaint about horror movies is that 'if the characters actually spoke to one another, the movie would be over halfway through.' In this case, it was actually the plot for the characters to talk to one another.

There were a lot of problems with the movie including plot holes, bad acting, and unimaginative directing. I would say that the ending being bad wasn't too surprising given what happened beforehand. It was an interesting premise that just gradually descended into an ending that should have happened a couple minutes earlier. Other than that, the movie didn't surprise me in terms of quality. It was definitely better than any Saw movie in that it at least made an attempt to make realistic characters and not rely on torture to create a dramatic effect.

I know it was so weird. I don't care that she got away with it but, all that buildup to watch MJH scurry around like a little mouse was odd.

Haven't read the full thread, but honestly have no issue with her getting away. I don't like an ending where it looks like you ran out of money and had to end there. Overall ok. Acting was pretty bad, but entertaining at least. I want to punch the director in the face for the ending though. I'm not sure you could have done a worse job ending it, and I have seen a ton of low budget horror films where a hand rises from the ground and it cuts to credits. It literally looked like you stopped the movie mid scene. Have you responded to everyone hating it?

The tagline for this movie was "It doesn't have to end this way." Sure as hell didn't have to end that way either.

I don't understand how the Mob guy, and the Black guy were involved in his sons death. Indirectly sure I guess you could make a case that they were part of the chain of events, but loaning 5k did not kill your son. Nor did selling a gun to a stranger. The cop wasn't even aware of the falsified evidence. The insurance guy was just doing his job, yes it's a sh*tty job but you cant help everybody in the insurance business. Especially when it comes to medical.

So really only 5 of the 9 were directly responsible.

-The Actual Robber (Christian) who didn't turn himself in.
-The Priest for not coming forward with the truth
-Chan the store clerk for picking the wrong man in a line up
-The Prosecutor for fabricating evidence to get a conviction of an innocent man
-The Rapist/Pedo who gave his son AIDS

Every one was responsible, directly or indirectly, for Greeley's death.

But the person who stands first in the list is Kelley. She's just pure evil. I would have loved to see her die.

Sometimes, logic can take a back seat when you are dealing with emotions. What mattered to Greeley's dad was that every single person who was responsible in some way for his son's death should be punished.

If you think about it, it all started with Sully loaning Christian 5 grand. It was to repay the loan that Christian robbed the liquor store in the first place, after buying a gun from Leon. Chan wrongly identified Wade in the lineup, Kelley (the evil slut) made sure he got convicted by swapping samples, Coogan gave him AIDS, Christian didn't give himself up, Jackson unknowingly helped in swapping the samples, the Priest didn't come out with the truth and Eddie turned down Wade's application because of his criminal record.

Now, the only people who totally didn't deserve to die were Eddie, because he was just doing his job and was a good person otherwise, and the Priest. Although Chan is innocent, she had a major role in Wade's conviction because it was she who identified him in the lineup. Felt sorry for the poor lady.

The rest have committed several crimes and some of them horrifying (like Leon killing his brother, Jackson and his partner blinding the kid etc).

I really enjoyed the movie up until the final few minutes, when it turned awful.

I agree. It should've just ended after they figured it out or after she shot the dad.

I agree. The ending really blew.
