Why would she throw the cake in the garbage when Nina stated she had stomach issues, why not just put it in the fridge for another day? That was a mighty large cake for just two people. It was pretty though, and I do like white cake with strawberry filling too.

Also why would she get a cake that size? It was just the two of them, both obsessive ballerinas therefore the last thing her daughter needed was a weight problem

the cake was really too large for just 2 people btw, but as someone said it was about control. the mom probably knew damn well it was way too big and nina would have just puked it anyway.
