did anyone like it?

i know i did. i don't get how people can say they didn't like it. i thought it was funny and good acting. especially when she held the gun to him and forced him to go out the door.

I really liked it. Well I'm replying now since I watched it again with my mom.

Great family movie, we enjoyed watching it... Melissa Joan Hart & Mario Lopez

were acting really good together, great chemistry between them.

Hopefully there will be more movies like this one!

reply

I thought it was very cute! Not as sappy and cliched as many of it's ilk. It seems like everything Ms Hart is in is good, and she has great chemistry with her leading men.

This movie was so shockingly bad I fell asleep. It was torture to watch.

I liked it. I watched this last night, then the family stone and i prefferred this. Loved Melissa since Clarissa.

If someone states Mario Lopez should be in more movies, then you know you can't take that person seriously about anything else. Same for MJH. Listen, if you think he's dreamy, good for you. Lots of kids like Justin Bieber, but his music is crap. Mario Lopez isn't in more movies, but people in the business of making good movies, people who judge talent for a living know he can't act his way out of a paper bag. This was a ridiculously bad film and its writer should be ashamed. But, honestly, if I was lucky enough to get to Hollywood and live my dream to have something I'd written to be made into a movie and the lead actor was Mario Lopez and, not so bad but certainly not so good, the lead actress is Melissa Joan Hart for an ABC TV family movie, well, it would feel like a knife to the heart. A dream smashed for a paycheck. The writer is a hack and made this movie for the people out there that don't have any taste. I'm sorry, there are a lot of Holiday classics people and this isn't one of them and it never will be. If you need a suggestion for something this writer could never come close to duplicating, I'd suggest your family watch "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" as your Thanksgiving or Christmas movie. Despite being a comedy with all kinds of absurd situations, it's brilliantly written and acted, it has heart and originality and unlike "Holiday in Handcuffs" it's actually believable compared to the latter film.

All I see from you is a bunch of opinions that you're trying to pass off as fact.

reply

After my desire to slap Trudie, I decided to relax and enjoy the movie. It won't win any awards but it's good holiday fluff.

It was a great movie.

standard feel good movie. easy to watch, mediocre in every way, seen a thousand times before. the big irony is how the movie is trying to preach about taking a leap outside the expected, while it is everything everyone was expecting. the cabin scenes reminded me of the utopia created in dumb & dumber, which makes you realize how corny this movie is. i guess it doesn't offend anyone.

reply

We like it, it's a regular for us each year. Of course it is an absurd plot...but then how is ELF not an absurd plot? Or for that matter any movie that has Santa Claus in it is absurd. But we still like 'em.
