Truly one of the worst movies ever made

A stupid, horribly acted Bourne wanna-be. Even a Paris car chase against traffic! Talk about stealing material.

Sorry, Liam Neeson, you are tooo old fogey. Jason Bourne you cannot be. You cannot do an American accent without the good ol' Irish creeping in.

Maggie Grace looks at least 30 and is playing a 17-year old, badly.

I cringed every time an actor opened his/her mouth.

How could you attach your name to this piece of junk, Luc Besson?

reply

I agree, Linda. Stupid and predictable. A waste of time. Fortunately I did not pay to watch this garbage.

reply

I agree. The dumb ass daughter deserved worse. HIDE UNDER THE BED???? The women I know would have ANY thing available to bad ass those guys. Broken glass/mirror, piece of furniture or something heavy in a pillow case to swing, ANYTHING. My little sister could have done more.
Im suprised she didnt break a heal while running and screaming.
I hate giddy, stupid teenage girls.
The guy getting nailed by the truck was GREAT though!

reply

Yes yes your little sister is such a badass and you have no concept of the realities of the world.
You think one teenage girl would stand a chance against a gang of weathered criminals, ones who are involved in sex trafficking? Yeah, grab that piece of mirror, let's see how that works out for you.

reply

Fortunately, there are more than 186,000 people who DO think this was a good movie ms doe-in-headlights.

reply

He's too old? Like maybe he should be retired? OH WAIT HE IS! The movie was intended to go straight to disk but made itself famous. You Linda are a moron!

Your's sincerely, General Joseph Liebgott

I see A LOT of action films, Lilicedude. And, I'm telling you that "Taken" was undeniably SUPERB! Now, "Raising Arizona" with Nicholas Cage? That could qualify as one of the Top Five Worst Movies of all time. In fact, the only movie that blows more chunks than "Raising Arizona" is Ed Wood's "Plan 9 From Outer Space!"

reply

As for being a copycat of James Bond films? I'll endlessly watch re-runs of "Taken" over the Daniel Craig versions of 007, anyday!

reply

One of the best Action films Iv seen for a long time, Neeson was simply fantastic and the action scenes were exhilarating! Really felt the raw emotion come out in Neesons character. Now theres going to be a sequel...cant wait!

reply

If you think that having a car chase against traffic is stealing material, you must seriously be the single dumbest *beep* to ever have walked the face of the Earth. No joke. I don't like car chases either, but that's exactly because THEY'RE IN EVERY *beep* ACTION MOVIE. It's like saying putting salt on your fish is stealing an idea, because someone salts chips.

reply

For Liam's standards this is good acting. Cut him some slack :)

The worst movie ever made is either Leonard Part 6 with Bill Cosby (1985) or Pluto Nash with Eddie Murphy (2002).

I'd like to add Mannequin (1987 - Andrew McCarthy) with and Six Pack (1982 - Kenny Rogers) to the list of worst movies. Anyone else have any suggestions??

Totally second that.
His fake hair dye tops it all off...
Liam should stick to acting some period pieces like Rob Roy or something like that. He is out of place in this kind of flick. That being said the plot was *beep* and formulaic. nothing new here and this stuff has been done before better.

reply

Hey, guys! We got a honey, linda303, criticizing a guys' movie. Why even pay attention to her?

I have no problem with people saying that they don't like a movie. No movie will ever be liked by everyone, and sites such as this should welcome negative comments just as much as it should welcome positive ones. I do however dislike it when people feel it necessary to over-emphasise their opinion by making comments such as "one of the best films ever made" or "one of the worst films ever made". That is just lazy criticism, and is symptomatic of an individual who has to labour the point they wish to make because they lack a confidence in their own ability to actually critique a movie in respect to their own reception of said movie. Be it positive or negative.

And such people deserve to be criticised for that. In short, whenever anyone has to rely on hyperbole when expressing their opinion, then their opinion isn't worth jack.

reply

Exactly.
