I didn't see any white people involved in the film

Everybody involved in the making of the movie, from the writer of the book, the director, the guy that wrote the screenplay, the executive producers (Oprah and Tyler Perry) and obviously most of the actors were black. I hope this post doesn't sound racist but I just wonder if this is like a rule or something, or it's just because when the director decided to make the movie he obviously called his friends in the business and most of them are black? . I know the most of the actors have to be black based on the book but what about everybody else (film crew, etc)? I noticed this when I watched the additional features in the dvd. I don't think it happens the same when making movies about white or Hispanic people, does it? I think that black people are a group with very strong ties, they are all like a big family

Also, is Maria Carey black descendant? what about Paula Patton?

Gabourey Sidibe is white, she underwent an advanced pigmentation alteration procedure prior to performing the role. It's testament to her exceptional acting abilities that nobody has so far noticed this.

...why the *beep* does it matter?

2/3 producers for this film were white. Didn´t try to look it up did you?

typer perry works with lionsgate. he was roped into this. and both him and oprah had nothing to do with the making of this awful movie, their names are just on it. just like the director of ''the butler'' was black but he had no control over what the movie was made, he was just done what he was told

i've got feelings too, ya know - inbetweeners

Blacks like to stick together. Especially when they're bitching about segregation.
