Any other intelligent anime like Death Note ?

Let me explain first:

I absolutely loved the series till the episode Silence, after that even though I finished the series, I couldn't get over the fact that for me the series had ended in that episode. I loved that constant manipulation, mind games and the sheer intelligence of the main characters. Please suggest me another anime like this.

Note: I have started Code Geass based on a recommendation, but I'm at the 19th episode right now and I just can't see the extreme intelligence or manipulation shown in Death Note. Secondly, the inclusion of 'Pizza Hut' ads and naked top heavy girls for no reason irks me and has no addition to the story line. I have enjoyed Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist and Stein's Gate but I crave for another ''intelligent'' mind bending anime like Death Note.

Please Help.☺

both of the above have amazing dramatic tension. Also if you're in to manga check out Kurosawa and Ten by the same author.

I'll be the 3rd/4th in this thread to HIGHLY RECOMMEND Psycho-Pass (season 1 only). You'll love it!

True season 1 was awesome,2 not so much.You should check Steins Gate too,excellent anime,starts slowly in first 7 eps but is worth it.

Not sure if you could call it intelligent in same sense as Death Note. But Phantom: Requiem for a Phantom was serious on same level in my opinion.

I did not finish watching Death Note, and am early into it, but to me it seems like both have something in common, and that is characters becoming and being what they dont want to be while fighting for opposite.

Stein's Gate is interesting I guess. But hard to watch for most I'd say.
Akame ga Kill had similar guessing game at few moments.
Psycho-Pass seemed interesting but I just could not stand design idea of those guns.
