Is this movie interesting if you are not american?
Just a doubt.. It wasn't for me.
sharewhy wouldnt it be? couldnt you then say thay about any movie set in America
shareI'm not American and I thought it was great. Why do you need such a silly reason to justify your dislike for it?
And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.
I'm English and I found it fascinating
Reality be *beep* I want a pink elephant.
I'm german and i also found it a very interesting and good movie.
I'm English and I really enjoyed it.
You might as well ask whether a movie about David Frost is interesting if you're not British.
Everyone knows enough about Nixon to know that he was impeached, resigned and was generally vilified as a president. That's all you really need to understand in order to get what's going on in this movie - apart from that, it's not especially "political". The main interest is in the unlikely face-off of the two men.

He wasn't impeached.
i'm french,i just saw it and i think it was fascinating like a boxing match.
Nixon is more interesting than in "Nixon"(even if he's bigger than life in the movie as Frost)
if you like great acting, history or a good "biopic" movie on an event, this movie is for you!
if you think "2012" is the best movie of the year with "transformer 2",this movie isn't for you!
I'm Australian and I thought it was great. I found it to be very interesting and engrossing, not to mention the performances were fantastic.

lol USS-Illinois.
I just finished watching it. Actually, I was confused whether to see it or not since I didn't know much about Nixon or US history around that time. So I was worried whether I'd be able to get/understand it or not (I'm not sure how it works with others, but if I'm unable to understand a movie, I'm generally unable to enjoy it too). Yet I decided to give it a shot & if I'd be bored within 15-20 minutes, I'd call it off. Fortunately, it turned out to be fairly watchable for me. Coincidentally, just yesterday noon, I turned off "Thirteen Days" (regarding which I'd similar doubts before I began to watch it) after watching the first 20 minutes as I wasn't able to "get" it.

Oh, come on! This is a film about the President of the United States owning up to a shocking criminal act. Live. On television. And it's basically true.
I saw it on a Stateside plane flight, having avoided the film's hype. Almost as soon as I got back home to the UK, I bought the DVD.
I think it's unfair to Frost, in that they show him as such an unprofessional, effete lightweight, but Frank Langella is outstanding as Nixon, and the machinations and back-room haggling are quite fascinating.
Possibly my favourite film ever, "Apollo 13", is also a Ron Howard film.
Props to you, Ritchie Cunningham!
