Season 4 was a Disappointment

Other than a few funny moments throughout the fourth season the entire thing felt really off, The lack of having Kenny Powers' parents at all was very unusual as well, I will always love the first three seasons but it will be quite a while before I am able to watch this disappointing fourth season.

Funny, everyone disagrees with you.

But what did you think of the finale??

Season 4 sucked muchacho. Speak for your fcking self.

Hell no, dude. Check your damn head, u loco.

The awesomeness of the first 3 seasons (1 and 3 in particular) were due in large part to the lineup of stellar supporting characters, most notably Clegg, Ashley Schaffer, Mackworthy, Shane, and Ivan. In Season 4 I didn't even bother to learn anyone's name because they were all so forgettable.

should have ended with season 3, and then made a feature film a bout the rise of Kenny Powers in his high point in the MLB

reply

Yeah it was one of the better seasons. Back to the original suburbia story lines. Kp is hilarious when he's stifled.

i agree. I still enjoyed it but I dug the previous three seasons more.

I could not possibly be disappointed with Season 4. My expectations of the show lowered after Season 2, so I went into the third and fourth seasons with an open-mind and low-hopes… and I actually came out quite satisfied, though even Season 3 and 4 couldn't reach the greatness of Season 1.

I couldn't disagree more. I felt it was by far the most complete. Had the perfect blend of comedy and serious drama. I know the show is vulgar and raunchy, even racist at times, but this show touches on some serious subjects (depression, inability to grow up). Season 4 was perfect.

There was no real Arch for character development, the real good idea was to make the next season OR a feature film a prequel to the series and show him at his glorious *beep* ego during his peak in the MLB

I loved season 4.

Season 4 did feel like it was at half speed. The story was much more low key in that it did not go off in to many adventures like the other seasons. But I still liked where they went with it, and enjoyed it quite a bit. Kenny Powers works because he is a genuine scumbag, not a faker or someone putting on a show. And because of that he always drew some form of respect. I liked the show and it was getting its stride once again just before it ended leaving me wanting more. It did feel more like a spin-off rather than a new season. But it worked. Hard to say if I wanted to see a season 5. We'll see. Thumbs up.
