I mean, sure there are some pretty similar structures in the Brazilian Military, but is there any like this BOPE here ? The guys in black uniforms, storming in the favelas and kicking the bad guys' ass? As far as I know the security problem in the south-american favelas is pretty far from being solved even nowadays. If such a unit exists how come they didn't manage to clean those places yet?

Yeah,there is a real BOPE it means Batalhão de Operações Especiais(Battalion of Special Operations),they're called when things get really hard they're like the elite of militar police and almost everything in this movie is true i mean not he guys but the situations like the kids from the median class using drugs,the executions,their trainning too! i know guys who used to work in BOPE and they almost go nuts!too much pressure,too much danger and the money that they receive at the and of the month is one of the only things that isn't much. But please don't think that our country is just made of violence!is not like this
