Haha, I must be really slow or something because i didn't knwo the Emily character was the mom until the they showed it. Then again I watched it in the middle of the night.
But apart of me thought/wanted him to end up with April since I don't think Isla Fischer would take a role in a film that wasn't the female lead. Not right now, at least. Plus the whole friend, but more scenerio was my favorite.
yeah within 25-30 minutes I guessed that he would marry Emily or Summer, divorce, but then end up with April. But then after a bit longer, I figured he wouldn't end up with Summer at any point.
There is kind of a trick that they play. The daughter early in the movie talks about how the College Sweetheart is never the one and is always out of the picture early on. This becomes true, but then he ends up with her, but then they divorce. Kind of funny how they did that
Once Isla came back from traveling I knew he'd end up with her because Summer had become so unlikeable at that point and Mya hated Summer so she couldn't be the mother
shareOkay, maybe it's just me, but I don't get how Summer was so unlikeable. Did I maybe miss a huge part of the movie? If I remember correctly, Maya started disliking Summer after she ran that article that ruined Will's campaign for his candidate or whatever. But I was kind of mad at Will, b/c he was asking her to change who she was, which was a journalist, who's supposed to expose the truth, just so his candidate wouldn't get exposed for his mistakes. Then again, I WAS watching this movie at the same time I was trying to help a friend write a speech, so I might've not been paying close enough attention...
shareI thought it would be Summer, but then they took a million years to show her again after she was first introduced, and I knew that if she was "the one", she'd be getting more screentime, so I assumed it was April. I knew for sure it was her when she came back from Mexico or wherever she was and they showed her all sad because he said he was in love with Summer. Will described the three woman as the only serious girlfriends he'd ever had, and at that point, I didn't understand how could catergorize April as his girlfriend, so I knew that somehow, she it would end up being her. I thought April was going to be the mother, and when Emily walked up to them in the park, I'll admit, they surprised me. It was nice twist by not having the little girl's mother be "the one".

shareI thought it was April when he met her at the copy shop and they seemed to be completely opposite characters so based on the premise opposites attract i thought that it might be her but then I dismised it and decided to watch the rest of the movie without presumptions. However I would have voted for Rachel weis wile he was with her, before she published the revised story on that politician guy. However the fact that he married Emily and had Maya with her, well it does seem logical after every thing else but I didn't think it would happen that way. Actualy I had my brain completly switched of during the entirle movie and since IT (my brain) had been quite hard at work for the past couple of weeks I just thoght that it desereved a little brake. Anyway it made me enjoy the movie much more.
shareI actually thought the movie did a pretty good job to keep you guessing, I think all the girls were quite nice though not perfect. I figured it was April but the whole time I couldn't shake the feeling there was more to Emily's story. It seemed the least developed and she kind of popped up every now and then I figured something more was to happen. I was rooting for April by the end but thought Emily might be it... but was really glad with the resolution, that is that he was with Emily but ended up with April because it was true love.

I always wanted him to end up with April from the copier on, but I definately knew it he would end up with her when he found the book. I know thats a little late, but I was focused on trying to figure out who the mother was.
shareI took my time :D it's a shame.. but it's strange but they didn't had sex, even a kiss (a "big" one) I don't know why but that helped.. also de the fact of the chemestry they had.. I love it!
