There's nothing like a good nap to be followed up with an over dark monster fight.

This was so boring and dark (lighting) that you barely care to keep watching.

I watched it in my home theater last night. It was still too dark. That's where Godzilla Vs. Kong got ot right. The use of color was far better in that one.

It looks beautiful on my screen. It's dark, but not to an extent that you can't see exactly what's going on at all times. The darkness serves to accentuate the moments where Godzilla uses his breath weapon, and generally adds to the mood. This and the original Gojira are unequivocally the best kaiju films ever made, in my opinion.

I remember watching the trailer for godzilla king of the monsters, and thinking the trailer had fgmore light and color than this entire movie/yu

Yeah, it's ridiculous how dark this film is - It's this or AvP2 for worst lit monster fight action...

Somehow it had passed me by. Just saw it recently. Yeah, it was bad and dark (!) but not as boring as this.

And don't forget about the Game of Thrones episodes. Even the newest spinoff. And they have the 'audacity' to blame us & our tv setups.

No, the problem ain't the settings. You're just shooting your films & shows in pitch black environments.

Same with audio. Notice how characters talk in such low audio but when the action or music kicks in, boom! Your ears are bleeding. lol

Try watching again and caring for both human and animal characters. Consider the phrase, "whatever it takes" and all it meant in the movie, how people did exactly that and what that means to you.

I agree to dark and boring, i like the 2nd one king of monsters the best from the 3 . Im surprised people seem to hate one that one the most
