Did anybody SERIOUSLY like this film?

Because I did. I thought the fast start into the apocalypse was awesome despite many people not thinking so. In the movie everything is hectic with trying to find a cure to something they have no knowledge about so I felt the quick start was good.

Loved it, actually.

hated it. more zombie garbage.

Not sure if you just hate zombie movies before you've seen them or if you're looking for the zombie movie that does something different. If it's the latter then I recommend Pontypool...

Loved this movie.

However it should have had a different title than the book, as it's not even close to it.

I enjoyed it. I have watched again since it became available on Demand and I keep noticing little things I missed before. I piss off people with my theory that the virus was created by nature as a response to all the pollution we human beings are responsible and of course Israel would fall because of all the pollution that was caused by the influx of refugees.

I enjoyed the book a lot more and I don't anyone would be able to make a movie that would make everyone who enjoyed the book happy. Sharon's story was my favorite. I already have a set idea of what she looks like and how she speaks and don't know if anyone would be able to act her part.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

It's garbage.

It was an incredibly average film. Basically made by people who don't understand--or even like--what a modern Horror film should be. It's a film that Soccer Moms can feel safe dropping their tweens off at the multi-plex without worrying too much about what they might see in it.

Now I could live with all of the above...IF this hadn't been based on an epic book that I was really pumped to hear was going to adapted for the screen. What resulted was pretty much a kick in the teeth to fans of the novel. Thanks again, Hollywood.

CBS Television: the network of choice for culturally retarded Americans.

@Sandoz...I agree completely. I didn't hate it, but it was a mediocre film. I am sure if everyone that saw the movie in the theater was honest, they would agree. I believe it did so well, because Brad Pitt was in it and because they were expecting a really good Zombie movie.

I must say I was fooled by the high rating this got here (7.0). Extremely abysmal. Gave this a 2 for the special effects and soundtrack that were quite nice.
