From the moment Firth's character stood up for Biel when she arrived I was hoping they'd end up together. You could tell from the start Barnes character wasn't right for her, and Firth's character didn't belong there. They seemed mean't for each other. I would have been happy if she had left, alone, but I was more than happy that they both left, together.

Daddy steals his own sons wife in front of him straight after kid said he loves her? And noone cares? It couldn't get any more sick than that. I thought women have more common sense than men but reading the comments appears they think with their genitals much more than men

I wholly agree: Colin despised his own family and Jessica hated to be there, running away together was a very reasonable (and romantic) choice for two free souls like them.
Best ending ever!
