Dr Douchebag Ruined It For Me

When Grant came back, it totally ruined the show for me. I hate that character, don't care for the actor, and was completely let down that he's the one who saved the town. Way to put a damper on things, writers.

Side note: Thanks, though, for reminding us all of how great Allison looks in her underwear.

I didn't mind Grant, he was smug and pompous, but no where near as annoying as the Holly character. Her scenes I have to fast forward, because she annoys me so much. I wish that they'd left her dead when they'd had the chance.

You two don't like Felicia Day? I'm sorry, but we all discussed it and you are both going to have to turn in your internet passes.

I argued it down to a one year suspension, so you can come back next summer and try again.

Next thing you'll be saying you don't like bacon or pictures of cats. The internet community can only take so much.

Anyway, this cake is great. It's so delicious and moist.

Haha!

Yes, the community knows of your YouTube cat vids, they were the only thing that worked in your favour...

Ok, Ok, just don't admit to anyone online that you really like Nickelback and I think we can let this one slide.

Holly was really sweet nice girl and I thought the whole body swap storyline was great

Grant coming back and saving the town makes perfect sense whether you like him or not. He was one of the founders of the town, and when he came to the future using the bridge device he cashed in all of his shares etc from 1947, so it was well documented that he was rich in the show.

Then remember that the writers of the show only had two days to write the final episode due to syfy (or whoever) tearing down the sets, and since there was a background that the character had a lot of money, it was the best choice with the least explanation.

How can you possibly say James Callis ruined the show? Clearly you don't care for good actors. The only bad thing about Trevor Grant was having to endure James Callis's attempt at a gruff American accent instead of hearing his British accent from BSG.

He also didn't save the town. At all.

Note: When referring to "dr. Douchbag" on this show, you have to be more specific!

I didn't like Grant either, I guess its just personal taste. As a female, I think that maybe after seeing Carter be Mr. ModernSensativeNiceGuy all the other guys besides Henry and Fargo start to seem like cavemen after a while. and he would be the most old fashioned, obviously. it's not really fair at all because it's a pretty unfair standard. I really like him but sometimes Carter does seem a little too perfect,(What is the man version of a Mary Sue?)he's kind of an unrealistic female fantasy. but I guess "realistic" isn't really what we're going for in Eureka.

Saw douchebag in the title and assumed it was a reference to Zane at first. I quit watching the show mid-way through season 4 as he was killing it for me. Can't stand the guy.

Decided to pick up from the mid season of four again, starting with the FTL flight episode and man, he seems to be in more scenes and more annoying than ever.

Then to top it all off Felicia Day has appeared. Zane and Day....bye bye Eureka. I'd love to see how it all ended, but my tolerance for annoying people doesn't stretch that far.

Zane had been a bit of a nob at times but the love with him and jo was great, and he became a really good man, he's great in the show. and carter is so not a female fantasy he reminds me of my dad, zane is sooooo hot

No offense, but the show started to suck right from Season 3. First, in comes some knocked up sister who is boring as hell. Oh and why does she get to live in the town, thought you had to be a genius? Guess not. Then they temporarily fired the sheriff, only in the first two seasons, when someone was fired they were immediately removed from the town. You can see that after the first couple of seasons the writers were replaced by people who never watched their own show. The stupid daughter with bad hair extensions, the horrible writing, and the way the show stopped being charming all ruined the show for me. This is what is wrong with the SyFy channel - great ideas but not the talent to make it work. See Defiance for further example.

Bring back Star Gate!

I agree, that Grant was a *beep* character from day one. the directors most have owed him a favor.

reply

Surely you're joking. James Callis is a splendid actor. Trevor Grant was a douchey character but how could that possibly ruin the show? He was only in a few episodes between season 4 and 5.
