Other "action" movies with similar great soundtracks?

Anyone? Preferrably something retro/electronic like this one.

How about the Tangerine Dream soundtrack for Michael Mann's Thief (1981)? Classic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srVzEMM9d0U

I haven't seen it yet but everyone's been comparing this movie to Nightcrawler.

reply

* Nightcrawler to this movie.

Nightcrawler was nothing like this - and a WHOLE lot better. I actually really liked Nightcrawler. The only similarity is they were both set in Los Angeles. Lots of movies are set in Los Angeles so that's inconsequential.

Bronson's soundtrack isn't as good but it's electro-ish I guess and has the same director

Cold in July

Cold In July was MUCH better. I think it was the IMDb boards for Cold In July that recommended this movie. Taste is individual as I thought this was nothing like Cold In July and nowhere near as good.

-David Lynch's Dune
-Tron
-Ridley Scott's Legend (the Theatical release has a Tangerine Dream score, the directors cut has an Orchestra)

The Tom Cruise science fiction actioner Oblivion has a cool score by M83. I disliked the film itself but the music was a highlight.

Seconded. Oblivion was a crap movie, but M83 can do no wrong.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

Manhunter has a great synth soundtrack. Also Sorcerer. Both soundtracks were done by Tangerine Dream I believe.

Bronson isn't "action" but has a synthy 80s soundtrack.
