I know they tried to make this original, by giving the zombies some semblance of intelligence and the ability to work as a group, but essentially, this is the SAME old zombie movie done for the millionth time. Humans try to survive the wild zombie mobs while crazy zombies try to eat them.

Theres a ...subtle... I guess too subtle for some...difference between a zombie movie and an outbreak movie.
They are not zombies. They are what happened to the human brain after it is wiped leaving only insanity left. They then start to evolve into more (explains more in the book). So trying to compare this to other zombie movies is a pointless activity.
