What was your favorite line in the movie?

Big Edie Beale: (looks at her cat) It's all in the movie (laughs)

Little Edie Beale: You can always wear the skirt as a cape...Mother wanted me to wear a kimono but we had a fight.

This is the real Little Edie Beale:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xG5baCxTtgw

Most favorite: Big Edie: "Get married...ha!...and then you can do whatever you want! [winks]"

Second favorite: Little Edie: "Edith Beale! Poet, temptress, entertainer."

reply

I think I changed my mind!:

"And the ice cream?"
"It melted."
"Oh."

reply

Little Edie to the house inspector: "Things accumulate after Labor Day, what can I tell you?"

Little Edie saying something about she can't stand women in skirts, and she's wearing one.

Jackie saying that the Edies have always been so warm to her, and they cut to Little Edie looking at Jackie with complete contempt.

"You can't tell me nothin' if you ain't had an 8-track." -Sinbad

reply

Lipstick line came out of nowhere, so did that "Did John K. give you Gonorrhea?" line. lol

My favorites however where :

"He sounds awfully married to me." -Big Edie
"But they're just so dull...!" -Little Edie, about all the guys ready for marriage at the club

and the most heartbreaking, "There's nothing to regret."

My favorite line from the documentary, which obviously made its way into the 2009 film, is “Mother wanted me to come out in a kimono so we had quite a fight.” My favorite line that doesn’t appear in the documentary though—at least I don’t think it does—is “Things just tend to accumulate after Labor Day, what can I tell you?”
