Name only one from this category that you thought had the title and deserves to be called the best. Respect others opinions and please dont say Alien AND Aliens.

its either one or the other in this thread. This is a systematic debate and analysis on what you could actually call "The Best Alien Film".

And please no sarcastic comments or derogatory statements. Ive heard them all already. They dont phase me. This is the Fing internet.

Alien is a 10/10, near-perfect movie.

Aliens is a solid 9/10.

And it goes downhill from there pretty damn fast.

While 'Aliens' is a helluva a ride and lots of fun for sheer terror it's 'Alien'. No other sci-fi/horror movie comes close.

I don't really care for Alien that much. It is one of those movies that "changed" everything so it is immune from any criticism. Not much happens throughout the entire movie and then it ends, whereas in Aliens it is a non-stop thrill ride for over two hours. Not only is Aliens a lot more fun, it still has the same eeriness and suspense as Alien.

Yes Aliens is a very good movie but Alien set the standard. Most viewers & critics give Alien the nod for greatest.

That was my point, it is more critically acclaimed because it changed how horror movies were made. I think Alien is great up until after the chest bursting scene. Once the Alien is loose I usually change the channel.
