Dont get the hate

1) The lightning was horrible. Some scenes were too dark to even see the foreground, let alone what was going on in the backgroud.

2) Needless repulsive gore for shock value only. Esp. the child killings and maternity ward scene.

3) It was untrue to the Predator legacy. The original Predator movie states that Predators don't kill harmless (unarmed) persons. In here, it does.

4) Basically, this is really just a slasher flick with famous aliens in it. The storyline, setting, characters, almost everything had "B-movie" written all over it.

5) The ending was cheesy.

I like it

It's just so dark it actually makes it unwatchable

Very awkward pacing, gore is really fake looking CGI most of the time, the majority of good action shots were spoiled in the trailer, fights are often disappointing, badly filmed close-ups. The butchered transfer doesn't help things either.

Still, for me it's a lot more fun than the first AVP. Small-town creature features are really rare nowadays (I mean the ones with actual monsters, not zombies, vampires and the like), so I don't mind the basic concept of the story. The practical effects are great and the Predalian was cool. That unexplained and totally pointless twist it forced into their reproduction cycle certainly wasn't though.
