Please No Board Wars...Thank You... ...Any opinions? Personally, I would not use her. I have lost family, friends and colleagues to cancer and after the scam she and Brooks pulled, I would not even approach or trust her. She will most probably use this for her redemption monologues on future episodes, reunion, WWHL.
The only person that would make a worse spokesperson would be Brooks. I cant imagine why they would want to use her and I would think she would want to distance herself from anything cancer related for at least a few yrs. Vicki will hurt the cause way more than she will help it and all this does is keep the Brooks cancer lie relevant.
Yeah, that's kind of how I heard it as well: an opportunity to profit off of cancer patients. I hope that's not what it is but it sure sounded like it.
"Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you peace of mind."
I can't verbalize why that just seems wrong.
Yes, it does....maybe because she is preying upon the fear and paranoia around such a horrible disease in order to try to increase insurance sales. Maybe because that's what everything comes down to with her in particular, is money, possessions, wealth, etc and she isn't above using people's natural fear to try to make more money. Maybe because, once again, cancer is nothing but an attention-getting prop to her. reply share
Yes, she's selling insurance to cancer victims, but her's is a bit different. Because if you have cancer you usually cant get insurance or if you have insurance it could change or be dropped.
So if we go through her for this insurance, can we only get treatment at city of hope, then? Maybe this was a deal she made since she used the hospital's name so often and they said City of Hope treated Brooks and she was there? So, in order to save face and not go after Vicki they made a deal with her....?
I thought she only sold life insurance? So is this some sort of medical insurance now? It's all so confusing and sketchy. I certainly wouldn't buy anything from her, no matter how desperate I was.
The only enjoyable part of that scene was the look on Vicki's son Michael's face when they suggested she front an ad; he must had fought hard to suppress a snort and then yell out, "are you friggin' joking?".
Vicki's new "Cancer Charity" is not a charity at all. It is a portal to direct any donations to City of Hope and to advertise for her insurance company. Vicki is a grifter through and through. If anyone wants to donate to City of Hope, which is a legitimate charity rated 4 stars by Charity Navigator, they can and should do so directly through www.cityofhope.org and completely avoid Vicki's Kill all Cancer scam website!!
It's so full of cringe. I had to mute the tv and turn away when she was doing that commercial because it just felt SO WEIRD. Ughhh. Why would she think this would save face? She's already admitted she is a fraud why is she doing all this. I mean, I know why, it's Vicki, she's gotta do something shifty and gross. BUT WHY!!
