Dumbest ending to a great show?

If not, it ranks up there quite highly. He is fighting during the entire show to wake up/go home. When he finally does he decides to kill himself to get back to the dream world....uh, what the *beep*?

Maybe it's just me but I found it absolutely pathetic and the direct opposite of what his character would do. Not once did they even hint at Sam being that worthless of a human being.

So what say you? Did you like the ending? As it were, it completley ruined the show for me. Here's hoping the U.S. version takes a different route.

I feel this show had one of the worst endings since I saw the Dexter finale. Troughout the show it seemed to have woven all these cool sci-fi elements into the story about affecting the future, thus indicating that he had indeed come to travel back in time.

A lot of the show centered around events of the future being affected by the past with the black cop, the drug dealer that tortures him, his own father and his girlfriends mother.

So all these things that tie the past and present together is setting up this big payoff to see how his actions ended up changing the future. That and the entire show there is nothing but him wanting to go back.

So it's a little disappointing when they decide to pull the rug under need my feed and say that none of this really happened, he was dead the whole time. The entire series up until then goes down the drain, and whatever happened doesn't matter because it was solely a scenario conceived for Sam (by god or whomever).

Doesn't help that in sympathizing with Sam all the characters of 1973 becomes hard to care about since they seems to be obstacles in his way. I cared a lot about him getting back to 2006 girlfriend than 1973 girl.

Waste of 12 hours.
