Why rating is so low - Here is the answer..

This movie is rated this low , because most of the american people who visited this site are super BIG overweight , the movie show reality in a very funny way ! And it`s a great movie ! Fact is that in US most of the girls over 18-19 got bigger and bigger in size ! The answer is to stop eating junk and move your a** and go to the gym ! I know its hard for you but after some fitness and normal food next time when you watch a movie like this you will actually enjoy it :D

The reason the rating is so low, is because its a really *beep* Movie. Plain and simple.

I'm Australian, male and fit. I didn't like it because the main character was weak willed, submissive and allowed everyone in his life to screw him around but doesn't actually grow that much during the movie.

Sure, he steps up at the end and confronts her a little harder than he has in the past, but still just runs away and cowers, which is exactly what happened when he confronted her for cheating. I wanted to see him own that family, giving them what they really deserve and humiliating them beyond words. They even set it up with that internal warrior bull crap.

It failed miserably to bring together what is a really irritating story line. The ending was the only thing that would have redeemed it, and it failed to deliver.

It was brainless fun, but nothing too special. Anyone other than Murphy, it would had been a bad film.

As long as it was vulgar it was funny - but it turned stupid when they brought in the orphanage story-line.

Agreed. As a farce it kind of works. The attempt at 'disneyfication' weakens it. It's not the worst comedy i've seen. Deserves better than the sub 4 rating it's attained so far. But Murphy needs better material to exhibit his considerable talents. Surely he didn't just peak in the 80s?

I watched this movie because I was very hungover on a Sunday and didn't have the will to change the channel. Found myself laughing hysterically. And I've loved it ever since. Mostly just because of "how yer dern???!". That is funny no matter who you are. I don't care what anyone says that line is continually funny throuought regardless of the pseudo-lame story.
