All the persians are white ... not like the crap 300 ...it was all lie .

about prince himself : i think he is half persian ... the blue or green eyes!!! maybe 10% of persians have colored eyes .

about casting : golshifte farahani was one of the choises for Tamina .. but because of the leaders of our country ( that i realy realy hate )... she was not allowed to leave so they gave it to Gemma Arterton .

Ben kingsley played a persian Character in ( house of sands and fog ) ... so i think the best choise for Nizam .

Alfred Molina ... has a persian face ... so another smart choise .

and Jake Gyllenhaal exacly like a half persian . please don't say about bad casting .

i do not saw the film yet . as some of you know ... in iran ... we dont have ( copy right) so i must waite for good Quality .. and download it .

last Tip : some maybe say about ... wooowww persians are heroes ... and americans made a film that show them in good Perspective ...and .....

the truth is every man in this F...ing planet . are all like the same . so i dont care about i'm persian ... or i have a good history and that *beep* . i just want a good life ...

True...picking out Jake was great actually! I have a friend(persian) who totally looks like him, he gets that from everybody even Americans...

well jake looks like the character in the games. if you haven't played them maybe his choice doesn't make as much sense to you. the others you mentioned were good choices in my opinion. i love gemma.. but i think golshifte would have been a great choice for tamina too! she definitely looks more the part & she's gorgeous too

Okay, I'm Iranian and I live in Iran (I hate the government too, BTW, I mean who doesn't lol).

We have plenty of 'white' people here, my mother is like snowwhite, and my father is a bit darker so I'm in the middle but my brother is

At least 20% of Iranians have blue/green/gray eyes. 40% have light brown or hazel eyes, 40% have darker brown eyes. Most of the Persians have either brown or black hair.

Jake looks great for this, he has the Persian look. Definitely. I can't imagine many other American actors being as convincing as he looks as a Persian. Ben kingsley and almost all of the others were well-chosen. I haven't watched the movie, but I intend to do so soon.

Guys, English accent sounds ancient. If they spoke 'Persian' English it would be ridiculous as if they've just learn English. Asking why they speak like that is like asking why vikings speak English in movies. SO PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND THEM -_- It's assumed or supposed that the movie has been 'translated' from old languages or foreign languages.

It's a movie, it has to look ancient in order to tell a fictional ancient story, and it needs to be understood.

I'm a persian too. I agree with you on this. We are heroes. we ain't some crap 300 showed us either. we are all normal people.
Although, I enjoyed the games of Prince of Persia. They were cool.

Jake Gyllenhall has blue eyes, yes. But he wears brown contacts in all but a couple of accidental scenes.
Perhaps they used CGI to color his eyes and missed those scenes. Who's to know? But they did try to make him a little bit browner.
