I can see now why Paul Walker and Vin Diesel

Stayed the hell away from this movie. Highschoolers in their mid 20's (which thankfully isn't done as much as it used to be thank goodness), and cheesier than cheesy lines..."winner gets me"...really??? It's a turd with good production value, but its a turd.

Still better than the sequels

reply

exactly. the series kind of lost its touch when they started focusing on international crime lords and end of the world if not caught scenarios.

reply

miles better then the sequels, bunch of hood race thugs all of a sudden become heist geniuses.

I guess they needed the fast and furious sequels to build up for ocean 11, 12 and 13 as the movies are about heists.

You honestly believe they would have written the same story and inserted Walker and Diesel in to it?

Or would the more logical answer be that this is what they came up with since their characters weren't involved but they didn't want to risk the backlash from recasting them and decided to go in a totally different direction.

James Dean type of movie set in current times. It's been done before but this was a different take on it. I liked it better than the other movies in the series.

Yeah pretty much. I honestly wasn't that big a fan of the first but it had some stuff going for it. I thought the second was actually kind of bad but even that looks good compared to this one and the first looks like a masterpiece. If this had been straight to DVD it wouldn't have surprised me.

It was just a cameo

Part 1, 2 , Drift & Part 5 are the best by far. The rest is shit.
