Found this one on Watch Instantly in my new-found Netflix fetish and it was a solid movie. Pretty well acted all around, solid comic relief with the two idiots at the store and the boss' quirks, beautiful cinematography (not to mention beautiful naked women) on the 'frozen-time' shots... one thing that kinda hurt it for me though (aside from the seemingly meaningless 'other moving person' in frozen time scene) was the last line... why did this movie (marginally introspective as it was) have to end on what sounded to be a slight variant of Ferris Bueller's closing "Life moves pretty fast... you might miss it" speech. Just sounded cheap after what had been a good film. Would have given it 8/10 but that actually cost it an entire point: 7/10.

Exactly what I thought! Beuller ripoff line, hoping no one would notice?

Coming up with good endings for certain types of stories is actually quite difficult.

They also of course stole the "falling back onto bed" image.

What movie was 'falling back onto bed' in? Seems like I've seen that before but can't remember what movie it was.

Just saw Cashback and I thought it was really funny. I liked it and not just for the nude scenes although that did help. lol.

But there was another joke in it that was taken from different movies, it was the popcorn trick, where the guy puts in wang inside a box of popcorn and girl reaches for it thinking she's just eating popcorn. I'm pretty sure that was done in two movies, Diner and The Wanderers or was it Porky's? Can't quite remember...

Cashback had some good scenes in it though, but it had some lame ones too like the football (soccer) game, and the mirror scene were both really dumb. These two scenes should have been cut from the final release as they just didn't add anything to the film. Other than that, I would give it a 7.0 out of 10. Pretty funny movie and it had some very artsy camera work in it too, which is something you don't see very often in comedy films. It's worth a look in my opinion.
