This show has been known for playing some great choices of music. Over the years, what bands and tracks have sprung to mind and have become your favourites because of this show playing it. Some big band names have been heard, so have a go at listening to a few of the tracks that others list, if your in the mood.
List your top five tracks? ..... and of course explain why they are your favourites.
It's hard to pick just five, and I'm not even particularly partial to classic American rock. I prefer British '80s New Wave and Post Punk.
Here's my list, off the top of my head:
Alice in Chains - Rooster
Filter - Hey Man, Nice Shot
Queensrÿche - Silent Lucidity
Boston - Foreplay / Long Time
Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear the Reaper
I picked these songs because they all either evoke emotion in me, or they suited the scene they were in perfectly.
Silent Lucidity isn't my favourite of these songs, but the scene where Sam shoots Madison offscreen while we see Dean shed a tear is indelibly burned into my memory despite only having watched that episode twice nearly a decade ago now.
I would say my top favorite music moment is the ending of Nightshifter with "Renegade" by Styx playing. Remains one my favorite episodes and scenes of the show
There's a lot of songs from Road So Fars they chose that I would say are my favorites
To name a few

"Back in the Saddle Again" - Aerosmith
"Riding the Storm Out" - REO Speedwagon
"Long, Long Way from Home" - Foreigner
And another one that comes to mind is from the episode Good God Y'all with "Spirit in the Sky" playing when Dean and Sam walk into the town
The best song was the end of the season 14, Motörhead’s “God was never on your side”
Other songs I like were-
Pretty Reckless’ “Makes me Wanna Die” (Jody’s adopted daughter was listening to this song in her headphones briefly)
Rolling Stones’ “Play with Fire”
The Black Keys “Little Black Submarine”
And of course - “Carry on my Wayward Son”
