Why did the Nephilim create that other world?

During those first opening scenes we saw Kelly have a wobble by the truck when unloading the nappies, and a trail of light flies away from Kelly's hand which is holding onto the truck? As the story develops we see Cas go out and investigate the horizontal light and later envelopes him.

Why did the Nephilim create that world? Did he want to show Cas his future? Did he want to create the world to store his father in it, was it his plan all along to help the boys and Cas out and trap Lucifer once and for all?

Or did I miss something?

Not sure why? But have you seen what it's being called?lol.

I think you missed something. He didn't create that world. His birth tore a hole through space and time into an alternate universe, one that already existed.

Sorry I was laughing when I typed my reply. I was thinking of the yellow rift. Lol.

But in effect, he did create it, even though he was unaware just being born did some damage? I remember them saying his birth tore a hole through time and space. But we know how strong and powerful this kid is before he's even been born. My brain is working over time, wanting to think the kid did do some good and that Kelly wanted him to turn out to be a good kid.

Jack wasn't aware of what he was doing. Like everyone said on the episode, a nephilim being born causes all sorts of weird stuff to happen. The guys just used it to try and get rid of Lucifer.

You're right, just me getting mixed up.
