Overall good, but two scenes in this movie made me laugh really hard...

I liked the movie, and found Denzel's character to be really well played. It seems like it took inspiration from one of those 80s movie, where the hero is a regular guy with no supernatural powers, however he is invincible. I loved the villain. He wasn't physically built for 1v1 combat, however his cleverness and lack of emotions made him intimidating.

Having said that, the movie has a couple of flaws, and I found two scenes to be hilarious:

1. The scene with the cop suffocating in his car... how can anyone get locked inside a car? He had one arm free, surely he could unlock the door.

2. The warehouse scene reminded me of Home Alone. I mean bad guys come in, and the main actor sets traps in a place that he is familiar with (workplace in this case).

The whole movie was laughable crap for dumb idiot man boys. I also thought of Home Alone at regular points.

What kind of dumb idiot watches Home Alone, baby boys?

Home Alone (and 2) are classics

Doesn't matter what age you are :-)

It reminded me of most Denzil/Tony Scott movies, minus Tony Scott.

I actually thought the warehouse scene reminded me more of the Predator taking out Arnold's soldiers in the jungle than of Home Alone.

He could have kicked out the passenger side window, or just stuck his free arm out the drivers window when it was about to close.

Drill scene is the icing on the cake.

The car was a push to start and MCcall had the key. That's why he pushed it and you saw the car come on.

I agree that Denzel Washington played his character really well (I'm not sure why you think he wasn't physically built for 1v1 combat tho), and so did Marton Csokas with his character Teddy. I also agree that the scene with the cop in the car was hard to believe (even if Robert was pointing a gun at him). But I disagree about the warehouse scene, I liked it, I thought it was interesting how he trapped them all.

I also liked the ending. (warning:spoiler) I was afraid they would kill him at the end for dramatic effect (it seems lately many movies have ending where either the bad guy/girl wins or to the least don't get caught, and I don't really care for that, it happens enough in real life), so I was glad he was still alive and kicking, and that the girl is ok too. I also appreciated the fact that it was not a PG-13 (and the special effects were good too).

Suspension of disbelief was stretched a lot. He made sure to get his fingerprints on pretty much EVERYTHING.

One thing I loved: No one tried to fake a Boston accent.

Martin Sheen, Mel Gibson, Alec Baldwin.. all have ruined a scene trying too "hahd". Mercifully this movie forgot where the action took place.
