Nothing like the 1974 classic, but thats what I like about it. Its a completely different movie. A fun modern teen slasher with a cheesy/creepy/dark christmas atmosphere!

I honest to god (who I do not believe in) LOVE this remake. It's ten thousand times superior to the original which I can't say I liked all that much. So I'm giving this film a 10. Even without those infamous scenes that were in the trailer but not in the final film this film scores mostly because of Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Lacey Chabert. Katie Cassidy is also good. I like Oliver Hudson too as the only male who isn't eeeeeeevil.

I gave it a 7. I like the 1974 movie a lot more but this isn't really that much like it so I kind of consider it its own movie that just so happens to have the same title. It is a fun movie and I'm glad I finally gave it a chance. I remember it was out in theaters when I was 13-years-old and I had a chance to see it then, but for some crazy, unbelievable reason I decided to go see Charlotte's Web instead. I finally decided to watch it today, 9-years-later, and liked it. I only regret waiting so long.

I gave it a 9. The only thing I dislike is the tacked-on hospital ending and the backstory. Everything else is just perfect, fun, disturbing, and gruesome fun. The cinematography is also beautiful and the atmosphere is terrific.

after reading all this it should have a 7 or 8 rating. not 4.5

I give it a 6.4.. it is nothing like the original but I suspect it would have been almost impossible to try and recreate the creepy tone of the original .

BC 2006 had nice setting and scenery - it really pulled off the Christmas vibe.. there’s a few good kills as well .. problem is, they tried to shock us and gross us out but that didn’t work . Instead it just made the film feel dirty

I don’t like the backstory they give Billy and wish they would have left it a bit more unclear
