Nothing like the 1974 classic, but thats what I like about it. Its a completely different movie. A fun modern teen slasher with a cheesy/creepy/dark christmas atmosphere!
7 out of 10.

I gave it 6. Fun, mindless entertainment. Could've been better, but was at least more than tolerable.

8. I love this movie. Watch it every year on Christmas and Halloween (since it's horror), along with the original.

7/10, I watch it every December. Sad that it gets low-balled because too many people compare it to the original. I treat it as it's own entity.

Gorgeous Christmasy visuals/lighting, interesting cinematography, monsterous villains and most importantly some straight up NASTY violence. It's part of my regular Christmas horror lineup.
I just saw the US version for the first time a few days ago, some of the kills are different and the end is different. I must say I prefer the UK version as the US one ommits my favorite scene (Melissa gets bagged, stabbed, eyeball pulled out and eaten then dragged off-screen by her eye-socket. Pure gold!).
UNCOMPROMISING UNDERGROUND FILTH
10 again
share8/10. One of my favorite remakes (not as scary as the original, but definitely a worthy film in its own right).
