Gone Baby Gone vs Zodiac
Wich one do you think is better and why?

I really enjoyed Gone Baby Gone too,but Zodiac had some great acting performances to tip it its favour

Probably Gone Baby Gone for having a more coherent plot. There are a few too many red herrings in Zodiak

Pretty obvious to me, but I suppose taste is a personal thing...
Imo, Zodiac is by far the superior film. I think Ben Affleck (this was his first directing job, right?) did an excellent job on this film and began to illustrate here that he is an interesting filmmaker.
However, at this stage, certainly, he was a novice compared to David Fincher, who had already established himself as a master craftsman before Zodiac came out. Zodiac was a just another illustration of why he so deserves the reputation he's got.
Performances, story, music, pretty much every aspect of Zodiac is in a different league to that of GBG. GBG is a solid film, no mistake, but there's nothing in it that compares to the brilliance of Zodiac's opening sequence, or the scene where the woman with the baby gets picked up on the highway from the is-he-or-isn't-he-the-Zodiac man.
You may prefer GBG for personal reasons, but it's hard to argue it as the superior film when considering the evidence closely.
2 totally different movies but I like both a lot and re-watch them a lot
