I watched this movie thinking it wasn't going to be that good. But Robin William pulled it off once again. Love his gansta talks! LOL
And I've never really heard of this JOJO girl, but the daughter in the movie was actually pretty good, played a good role as a rebelling teenager.
I would buy this DVD.

Then why bother going on this page? Why so motivated to spread it? You never saw it but decided it was so bad you must spread the word? It's not a great movie but it's good for the whole family to see and has some rather funny moments as well as some good moral messages.

So I went to go so it because I am such a fan and I gotta say that of course Robin Williams was awesome as always but I didn't like how it was written or even the story of the movie. I think it was aweful.

shareThe preview makes Williams look annoying in this movie, but that's not the case. He was hilarious as always. JoJo is a decent enough actress (I didn't know who she was before this movie). Williams and his wife don't have much chemistry but I'll see this again for sure. It's just a fun, light-hearted, often hilarious story about a family patriarch down on his luck. It's not a film that's intented to win critics over, but it's had some staying power at the box office which has got to tell you something.

shareUm guys, just to even out the playing field here a bit, I went to see it with some friends, and we all agreed that it was one of the worst movies we've seen in months. Robin Williams is if anything the only saving grace in this film, and it is sad to see him go from brilliant films like Good Morning Vietnam and Awakenings to this unoriginal and quite frankly lamentably unfunny piece of Hollywood's finest (finest being pretty damn terrible since that is what Hollywood now is, a pathetic piece of glitter.)
So yes, from an ordinary guy who has seen it, and who isn't one of those arty types because I personally found The DeerHunter to be overlong and quite overated...R.V is a rubbish film, thank you.
Robin Williams has done his share of bad movies, but he's friggin' awesome. Robin Williams Live on Broadway is amazing. So here's my "petition":
