In my day, the people who'd go to the mat arguing about superheroes, or going to the bother to rank them, all looked like Beaver Cleaver. Have all the men but my husband taken to wearing onesies, drinking cocoa, and going ape for DC and Marvel?

I like to socialize with friends, date, and take vacations. But life is also stressful. I'm an software engineer, and spend the day making software work. I have a sister in rehab. My dad died last year. I'm having medical problems. So, when I pop in Ironman, I get to be Ironman for 2 hours and 6 minutes. It's not just super hero movies either. A comedy like office space is always a good trip. But super hero movies add something more. The stakes are the highest. Often, the world needs saving. How's that not fun? So, quit judging people, and try and enjoy life.

It's not like back in your day when they kept it as simple as possible. Nobody cares about your husband, lady. I don't know why you assume if someone is a fan of super heroes they don't have other skills like woodwork? Have you gone to Comic Con and seen some of the inventions that fans have built with their own hands? Both the girls and the guys can build their own costumes, robots, props. Look at this video. You think this guy can't figure out how to carve wood?

They definitely know how to carve wood, design and print from 3D printers, sew etc. They're all techies and artists. What an ignorant waste of breath you are.
I don't really know how to answer that. I loved comics as a kid. I am 49 now and still enjoy the Marvel movies, although not as much as if they'd been around in the '70s or '80s. I would have really went wild back then.
Why do women like romance movies? Why do men like boxing movies? You could have just asked any of these questions, and the answer is probably about the same. Some people just enjoy those types of movies. (I am ignoring the obvious stereotyping.)
